I have a 2030 that the Hydraulics have quit working. I've pulled the sump screen,and changed the trans filter. put a 3K gage on the remotes, and get an initial pressure of 1500 psi, builds up slowly, then it slowly drops to 1200 psi where it stabilizes. no oil spraying in the transmission case and the pump has started to leak a little. What do I need to check next and where?
 

Check hyd filter relief valve that's just in frt of hyd filter on RH side to be sure it's not stuck open. Is tractor equipped with hyd hi-lo or hyd ind pto if so hyd lines supplying oil to these 2 options have a history of leaking. Operate hyd's with these 2 functions separately in both on & off positions so determine if they affect operation of hyd's. Does your tractor have a frt end loader? If so what type valve controls FEL(scv or ind)?
 
Relief valve is free and moves with some pressure, does not have hi-lo, does have loader with own valves. did hear a loud screaching noise earlier but sounded like sheet metal rubbing on pulley, not sure what caused it but quit on shutdown and didn't resume on startup, may or may not be related to problem.
 

With FEL control valve levers in neutral disconnect valve return hose from tractor.Aim open end of hose in hyd filler hole behind seat,start engine & no oil should exit open hose.
