Workimg on a JD B that had a powerblock in it but got coolant in cylinder and owner doesnt want to spend big $$ fixing powerblock. Picked up a good standard block amd pistons yesterday but this new to me block has a 1/4" pipe going through the block that oils the rockers. The PB didnt it has a brass fitting that screwed into backside of block. My question is what do i need to use so the oil line from pump will work with the 1/4" pipe ? The pipe is 1/4"x6" long. Thanks..

Are you sure you have the correct block ? You might have an earlier B block 4 1/2" bore trying to put it in a later B 4 11/16 bore ?

The tractor that I am working on has the battery behind the gauges. The block that I got yesterday came out of a tractor with the battery behind the gauges also. The power block was a 5"-1 Power block with 5 inch bore. The new pistons I got yesterday are over 4 1/2". Didnt measure with bore gauge but with a caliper. I will get a more accurate measuement later.
