Did anyone make it the Late Dave Stone John Deere auction in Montrose Pa? My son was there for round one on Friday and I met him on Saturday for round two.(4 hour 200 mile road trip) if anyone went I have some thoughts. Bill

How did it go? Just looking at the ad makes me wonder if they were the right auction company for the job. I would have liked to see the NOS parts sell and maybe some of the 3020-4020 parts tractors. That kind of inventory I would have sold everything to one of the big outfits that specialize in Deere parts. Tom

This was the auction if you were looking for a parts machine. they went reasonably cheap.as far as parts go several big dealers and others made it hard to get any real deals . that being said, we saw NOS parts that I have only ever seen in the parts catalogs. The best deals were on the good used parts

My dad, brother and a buddy of mine went up Saturday, took two pickup trucks and trailers. I told him Friday he was taking the wrong truck, take the Peterbilt with the 45 ft trailer and that way he doesn't have to worry about overloading or buying too much. When he got home Saturday night after the slow ride, the neighbor kid says we took the wrong truck.

The auctioneer was great, he knows how to treat people right. Dave's wife was walking around the sale. Some things sold high. Other things were reasonable. JD330 $18,000. JD430 crawler $14,000.

Son bought this MC for $250. Buying it as a parts machine didn't think he did too bad
