2955 Clutch problem

Does anyone have the clutch section of the TM4449 Manual in PDF format that they would be willing to share. I have a neighbor with a JD 2955 that has lost it's clutch operation. when the pedal in pushed in the clutch does not disengage. I am fairly sure the throw-out bearing is hyd operated and will need replacing so I would like to have the portion of the Manual that covers this. Since I am just trying to help a neighbor I would like to do it with having to buy the whole Manual.

I have TM4434 here and I realize this doesn't match your number but it does cover the 2955 with the internal clutch
slave cylinder. It does not give any diagnosis but I would suggest isolating the slave from the circuit to ensure
the issue is not in the master cyl. I have seen them give issues.
I could not help but wonder why they moved that slave to the inside of the clutch housing after having it mounted
externally on the 50 series.

My guess is it was cheaper to manufacture that way. that seems to be the driving force behind most things.

We have worked out that the problem is either a leaking line in the clutch housing or a bad throw-out assembly. Master cyl is working fine but system is leaking fluid inside the clutch housing and will not build up enough press to disengage the clutch.

Looks like a split in in my future.. Any advice or tips on splitting. I sure wish the Slave was on the outside too it would save a lot of work splitting the tractor just to repair the slave or tubing.

If the fluid is leaking into the clutch housing then yes a split is required. No real mysteries to that part of the
job but would suggest a real good look at all the wear components including the rear crankshaft seal, while its
open.
