JD2030 Fuel and Water Separator

Anybody know if there is a replacement for this old glass bowl type water and fuel separator. PN is D11218.

Where are you finding PN D11218? That PN doesn't appear in 2030 parts catalog. IMHO the filter shown below is very easy to change & does excellent job filtering fuel. At one time JD offered a kit to change tractors over to this style filter.

If you have the old style with the metal round filter with the glass bottom you can update to the newer glass filter. The 40 series all had the newer style so you should be able to find a used one at ant tractor junk yard. You could even get one off a combine. Deere probably still has the change over kits but they would be very expensive. Tom

Look on the other side of the tractor up by the fuel tank. Picture shows glass filter. Mine is more like an oil fuel filter. I'm thinking somebody changed it out at some point in time. There are no numbers on it so, have no idea what to replace the filter with at this time. I'm betting somebody put an oil filter on it.

The filter in the picture you presented is on the other side of the tractor above the starter. I have that one.

Was your 2030 built for N American or European sales? Tractors built for N American sales had a fuel filter located above starter but no other fuel filter. Can you post a photo of this mystery filter?

I think somebody must have modified the tractor with a different non John Deere part as the part on this tractor looks exactly like an oil filter. Simply screw it on. I will take a picture of it tonight.

I found the filter by luck. it crosses to a Wix 33166, Napa 3166, Luberfiner L296F, or Baldwin BF825. Luckily the autoparts store had a TECFIL 2/155 that was exactly like what I took off the tractor. Thing looked like it had never been changed.
