A month ago I had gear oil in the power clutch unit. I removed the whole rock shaft housing from the back of the tractor and then I removed the power clutch pump housing. I replaced the one oil seal with two new oil seals that surrounds the pto shaft, as I was told this was probably the problem allowing gear oil into the power clutch.
I put the pump housing back on last night after I coated both sides with High Tack gasket cement. I then put the rock shaft housing back on the tractor and filled the transmission with 89-90 gear oil.
Today when I opened the drain plug for the power clutch housing, about a quart of gear oil came out, so I know it is still seeping into the power clutch unit. I guess I will have to take the rock shaft housing off the tractor again, but this time I don't know what do . can anyone give me some advice or tell what I missed?
