I am looking at a 46 BO. The tractor is not running but the engine is loose with very straight sheet metal. The tires are fair to poor but the rears are 26 in. Is this an odd size? The tractor appears to be very complete. What would be a fair price. Steve

26 inch tires are or where common on combines so some one may have put combine rims on it

1946 BO tractors came with 11-26 tires as standard equipment.

Two years ago I sold my '47 BO for $4,500. It was in the same or a little better condition than the one you're looking at.

As I remember that size is difficult to find. Might want to see if you can find them before you jump on it. Have a friend with one that can't find tires for it. There was a rumor at one point someone was going to start making them, but have never seen them or heard anymore.

Someone correct me if I am wrong here...

BO's came with 24" tires
BR's came with 26" tires

Now....
You could buy a BR with an Orchard Hood and exhaust for less money than buying a BO.
The real way to differentiate the BO and the BR is that the BO has differential brakes and the BR has a service brake.

My 1938 BO has full citrus dress...

This tractor has turning brakes and BO hood. The only BO that I am familiar with has 24 in. tires. 26 in. tires are available but spendy. The asking price is 2000.00. Steve

Hay maker2,

Your blanket statement that "BO's came with 24" tires" is wrong. That's true for the first few years
but beginning at ser# 332266 BO's could be had with 11-26 rims and tires. Ser# 332266 was built
early in model year 1941.

Take a look at PC-676

You're wrong about BO's only coming from factory with 24'' rear wheels/tires.[/url]
