Can anyone give me a good guess as to the day my '37A came off the assembly line? Ol' John's serial # is 458824. I think it's probably this
month. TIA.

Mine is 458965 1937 A warehoused June 16 1937 shipped June17 1937. That will put you in the ball park.

My sister was born June 16, 1986 and my wife was born June 17 1982

I got my info strait from JD Archives a few years ago when it was free. Now JD quit doing it and you have to go through Two Cyl Club to get the info and I think its 35 dollars now. By your SN it was made before mine and im guessing April May when yours was made. 1937 was JDs centenial year and made a slough of 37 models. 37 is one of the most made unstyled A models. To be accurate you would have to contact 2 cyl club.
