JD-70 Occasionally jumps out of 1st gear

What would make my JD-70 jump out of 1st gear? I was plowing with it the other day and it jumped out of gear 3-4 times in about a 6 hour period.

60+ years of wear. This happened to be covered at the NY Expo. Time to order all new bearings, shifter springs and detents. Of course first reduction is included .
No slop or play in shafts/bearings. Gear alignment tweaked until full engagement is achieved.
Repair or replace worn shifter pawls, springs, balls, detents etc.
Some people have no shame and use a bungy cord but that is treating the symptom instead of salving cause .

1st gear is fast in a 70, in particular if it is a rowcrop with tall 38" tires. Iirc 1st in a 70 is similar to 2nd in a 720/730.
