1938 ar trans and diff oil level ?

Can someone tell me where the oil level plug is for the trans and diff on a 1938 ar . I drained the trans and rear diff just not sure how to check the level when filling. Thanks

Plug on the rear cover, right side, just above the platform.

Yes that is where you fill it but how is the correct level checked ? Fill it up till it is level with the fill plug you are talking about ?
