john deere 567 baler error E2 04

Book says this error code means a short in twine actuator harness. I peeled the plastic cover off all the wiring and tracked it back to actuator, no bare/broken /damaged wire. Used the bypass for the manual switch to control actuator and it works fine. could this be a glitching monitor?
Also tracked the bale size circuit, thinking it must turn on the actuator at some point, no oblivious damage to wires.

Do you have a neighbor that you could borrow their monitor to determine if your monitor is faulty? How does your monitor get it's electrical power(convenience outlet or direct to battery)?

I have 2 567's could swap them , never occurred to me. the power comes right from starter.

No need to remove monitor just pull tractor/balers side by side & swap wiring harness connectors.

Nothing has to be done if both balers are 567's.
