Yesterday wasn't a good day. I put a 7 ft Woods mower on the 4440. Mowed a few waterways - then when backing it in the shed something blew up front and I pumped a bunch of hydraulic oil out. Everything was hot so I didn't try to find the leak. I need to clean it up and look.

Last summer my 4230 got a crack in the steel line coming out of the hyd pump and dumped all the oil out along the road. Brought line home brazed it up and pressure checked it. One week later same line again and all the oil out again. It now has a new hose. Tom

The 40 series ran an extra tank to help keep the pump satisfied,,I take them out and re-arrange the hoses to make it clean and simply, you probably blew one of those hoses..

Never ceases to amaze me how much hot oil under pressure can come out of the smallest hole in a short time......Ron
