I am taking the third remote off of a 1969 4020 side console. The cone shaped springs and 1/4" balls came out and I am trying to figure out how they go back together. The parts book and IT manual are of no value and I couldn't find anything on the internet. I will post a picture. There are two cone shaped springs and two balls. The cone shaped springs were positioned with the smaller diameter toward the rear and both balls were inside one of the springs. The question is do the springs go in with the small end of the taper toward the rear as shown in the picture and does one ball go inside each spring? If not, how does it go together?
