trans lock up JD Model 50

Hello. I have a '55 Model 50 JD, once is awhile the trans will lock up after it sits idling in neutral. You can move the tractor after moving the trans shifter to the lower right quadrant Neutral area, which then gives you 4th gear, slide the trans to shifter to the left and you have 6th gear. No reverse at all. If I drive it up on blocks under the left rear wheel, let it idle a few minutes, it usually "unlocks" and operates normally. This time I've not been so fortunate.

your detente spring for 4th & 6th is broke like it up in the JD parts book and you will see ware it is
