Unstyled B, one more time

What part is bad on yours? Usually you just rinse that complete assembly (do not disassemble) with diesel, and then reinstall with a fresh filter.

That kit they sell is not "complete" There is a stem with a plate that goes up inside the filter can into the filter head you need too. The old reusable filters had this stem built onto them. Wonder how many people bought that kit and now their filter is not filtering.

I could not find a pic on ebay. I used to have several parts tractors but got rid of most stuff. The parts needed can come out of most any model later 2cyl. There is a stem with a plate on it that goes up inside it has 2 holes in the sides of it to fashion a tool to remove it. The I & T manuals show this tool made from small dia rod or even a bucket handle wire I think some have used. In addition you need the plate and spring and small parts in the bottom cover.

Why? The orig filter should work. They are pretty neat too. I left mine orig, clean oil in, crankcase closed, should not have much debris to separate from the oil.

Use the old brass filter, It work for this many years I feel sure it will out last you and I. I still have my brass filter in my 36 A.

If you decide to replace your filter type, I have the top tube and sleeve, also the bottom cap. The cap probably needs a new spring and the copper gasket. I wonder if you need the long bolt too, they may be different. Send me an e-mail. Ron Mn
