Does anyone have info on where to get a rebuilt water pump for a JD 60?
The one offered from this site does not fit.
Thanks!

ser. no. 6041800
the one I was sent, with bypass, water pipe hits on the tractor frame not allowing the bolts to line up.

"The one offered from this site does not fit."

This site offers two different water pumps for the model 60. If the one that you ordered won't fit, maybe the other one will fit.

Thanks Bob and to all.
Yeah I will be sending it back. YT didn't know why it wouldn't fit or what else I could get.
I was told in effect that was the one that I needed, but maybe my frame was bent or someone changed something.
No, the pump is original with casting number A4280R.
So, maybe do the rebuild.

Doing a rebuild is sensitive because of the ceramic ring - fragile. I misspoke when I said I got mine from this site, in fact, I got it from a vendor on eBay (took the time to check my receipts). Dammit, I forgot to write down the name). I think he/it is still there. My cost was about $100. My JD dealer tried $430 on me - nope. The deal was, I sent my pump to my long time parts source, with instructions to evaluate only, call me and decisions would be made. Well, didn't hear for weeks, then got a call as to how my pump would be returned (shipping), the price was $430+. Anger came into play. BS from the dealer. In the mean time I had received my 'Repro' and installed it. End of story, Dealer admitted error, and sent me my original back (rebuilt). It now resides in an original box - will go with tractor when sold - after I'm in the dirt. Luck.

Hopefully you both have many years to go!!
I wouldn't be able to do it myself without a press.
Unless I could talk my good friend Loren into it, I don't know,
I might look on ebay and see too.
Thanks again! Jim
