JD 665 zero turn mower

We have z665 zero turn. Do any of you notice a burn streak in the grass in the center of the mowing swath? We haven't noticed it other years but maybe it happens when mowing lawn on a hot day during dry times. Any thoughts? Thanks , DTK.

Is your exhaust blowing down towards the ground. I have seen this happen with some cub cadet models in years past.I know it seems hard to believe.

Is your machine under 120000 serial number? If so, there may be a recall on that machine for complaints of brown/burned grass. The solution is to replace muffler and heat shield. You might want to talk to your local Deere dealer and see what they can do for you.
