Was baling and lost all brakes and
steering. Thinking its the steering
valve by the steering column ??? Am I
correct ?? Thanks guys.

Tim's more than likely right. But had friend come pick me up to look at his 4640 when he lost hyd. Front crankshaft bolt backed out and the dampner hammered the keyway out of it and the front pump stopped turning. Won't mentioned how he fixed it, but ended up with a different engine during the process.

I have a pump that was acting like that here now,off a 4640, the guy said he was chiselling and it lost steering and 3pt.he pulled the pump and dropped it off.I haven't looked at it yet,,but I will tell you what I find when I get into it,,I'm thinking stroke valve..

Check the hex shaft that runs from the rear case to the flywheel .They will round off and quit turning the transmission pump . A new shaft will buy some time but eventually the trans pump will have to be pulled . Its behind the center link bolted to the main case .Just pull it out, you will see where the pump gears run .
