John deere unstyled A shutter rod bracket

anybody have any suggestions as to how to put the shutter rod holder that is rivoted onto the hood on to a new hood? its on a 1936 A john deere

I did this on an "A" I have. I discovered the choke rod should have been put in when I had the hood off. Thats the first suggestion -Take the hood off -install the rod and put it all back together.
On my "A" I did not want to take the hood off - so I located where the rod holder was then drilled out the spot weld. Fabricated a new rod holder and put a new rivet in the hole I drilled. Ground down the rivet head and repainted.
