JD 165 Hydro Lawn Tractor- Hot Restart

I have a JD 165 Hydro that starts w/o problems when it is cold. However, if you turn it off when it's warm/hot it absolutely will not start. Turns over very quick but will not fire. Only solution I've found so far is to let it cool off and then it starts right away. Guessing it's an electrical problem, but was wondering if anyone else has had hot restart problems like this on their JD lawn tractor and figured out the remedy. Thanks...

Check and see if you have spark when it is hot. The coil/igniter could be bad. They may have a weak spark when hot. That will keep one running but not start one.

I second the coil being the culprit if your spark is weak when the engine is hot. Just replaced one on my 160, the STX38 before that, and a 112L give me the same trouble long ago...
