clutch lever on 48 B hits shifter in reverse

Hello: It's been a while since I've posted, but I'm trying to figure out why the clutch lever for the hand clutch on my 48 B hits the shift lever when it is in reverse. I tried putting it on 180 degrees from
where I had it, but it still wants to bang into it when in reverse. I replaced the bushings, so I don't think it is a slop issue in the clutch linkage.

Thank you

Adjust the length of the rod from the lever to the fork operating arm. Is your pulley brake adjusted correctly?

I forgot to ask has your shift lever been changed to one out of a 50 with the screw on ball? If so then you are going to live with the contact or get an original shift lever.

Thanks for the reply. I have an original looking lever, no screw on ball. (although some people think I"m a screw ball...) I"ll look at the pulley brake. I did play with the adjustment on the clevis for where it moves the clutch, but even in the middle it was not right.

Thank you

Wayne
