Messing with my old B. I have the John Deere number but they obsolete from deere. Anyone know a timken number for the diffential bearing and race. John Deere part number jd7408r, jd 7246r? Thank you.

I typed in the numbers and found them online and called the John Deere house here and they said the are obsolete. I was hoping someone knew a timken number so I could find them at a parts house local. If not i will order them online.

Both part numbers appear to be NLA from JD. I don't have access to Red book for Timken numbers.

The part JD7246R is no longer available. Contact your local John Deere dealer for other options.

If you take the "R" off of JD7246R it comes right up in the Deere system.

You're correct but I thought part numbers with less than 5 numerals needed suffix letter to appear on JDparts .com parts cart.

My cross ref. came from July-August 2007 Two Cylinder Magazine. It has always been correct for me. I think our old friend Duane Larson had one also. I sure miss Duane he was so helpful.

Jim, normally you do not drop the suffix for Deere parts with less than four digits, with the exception of "JD" numbers (bearings, etc.). Mike (former parts manager).
