John Deere model 70

Have a 1955 Model 70 with power steering. Want to paint the hood. If I remove the steering shaft will I loose steering fluid? Can't tell by the book. Thanks much in advance.

if its like a 620 or 720 you just remove a roll pin and slide the steering shaft out, they are splined together as well, no oil will come out.

Nope there's a pin in a coupling right at the steering gearbox this is a dry connection
