1020 Hyd problems....

Bought a 1020 with a loud (squeal) noise from the pump but everything worked like it should so wasn't overly concerned. The noise wasn't constant and seems to be getting less frequent. It goes away when running a hydraulic motor off the scv and when the clutch (2 stage) is pressed all the way down. When hauling wagons with it Monday after a hour the trans oil got hot enough that I could only hold my hand on it for about 4 seconds. Is there any relation between the two? Guessing an internal leak making the heat, any common areas on 1020's? On a side note the oil was VERY milky when I got the tractor, I changed it and the filter/ screen but it wouldn't hurt to do it again. Any ideas??
Thanks Mitch

3 pt hitch control valves & power steering valve(> sn 45199) are common places to have internal hyd leak causing frt pump noise. Does this tractor have a FEL installed? If fo what type hyd valve controls it?

The steering was rebuilt by JD before I got it and it had the noise before that. It had a loader in its previous life not sure how it was plumbed in though. That was our next thought was rebuild the 3point valve as it helped the hydraulics work a lot better on our 2240.

I know that but everyone seems to have a fit if loaders are hooked to scv instead of its own joystick/valves

That would be because the transmission oil pump doesn't keep up with the front pump. Any good reason to have a cavitating pump , a slow loader and a tied up scv ?
