turning up jd 60 hyd pressure

I have a JD 60 that I square bale with, I'd like to turn up the hyd. pressure to run my little stack wagon. Can this be done or will I just break the pump or something? I need 1500psi to run my stacker it will work most the time on 1200, but some times the push off feet stick.

Take a look at the [b:654c4848f0]POWR-TROL VALVE HOUSING[/b:654c4848f0] diagram below.

Note the washer (Key 34) [b:654c4848f0]A 4256 R[/b:654c4848f0].

Reviewed the [b:654c4848f0]Hydraulic Equipment SERVICE MANUAL SM-2011[/b:654c4848f0] under the [b:654c4848f0]CHECKING RELIEF VALVE PRESSURE[/b:654c4848f0] topic in the fourth paragraph on page 30-5-16.

"[b:654c4848f0][i:654c4848f0]If pressure is too low add washers until proper pressure is obtained. Each washer will raise pressure approximately 35 lbs. per square inch.[/i:654c4848f0][/b:654c4848f0]"

The [b:654c4848f0]Cracking Pressures[/b:654c4848f0] table recommends the [b:654c4848f0]Tractor Model "60"[/b:654c4848f0] pressure range of [b:654c4848f0]1170-1210 Pounds per Square Inch[/b:654c4848f0].

Hope this helps.

(quoted from post at 23:11:03 05/17/17) Thanks I can at least turn it up to that pressure.

All bets are off at 1500psi, that is 125% of rated on an elderly machine.
Have you verified the SCV pressure is 1200psi or is this an estimate ?
The pump maybe worn enough that 1200psi can not be reached let alone 1500psi?
