Hi from Summit, Mississippi.
My father passed away last year. I am using his old JD 1520 to do chores for my mom.
The front tires on the tractor are in really bad shape, and I need to replace them. Currently the tires are Manchester Express Highway 7.50-16. They look like regular truck tires. I think they are tubed.
I am all about buying used tires at the local tire shop here to put on trailers. I would like to put used tires on the tractor if possible. I'm trying to be frugal but also safe. What I am wondering is if the weight of the tractor requires a different sort of tire than regular truck tires that I might find at the used tire store.
Any advice anyone can give... I sure appreciate it.
