JD B Carburetor

I have a 1943 B with serial # 144427. It runs very rough and impossible to adjust to smooth running. Many items have been replaced already to no avail. We feel it is in the carb. Had to replace the original carb because of internal crack. Unfortunately the off shore carb we received as a replacement is not the answer. Any place to buy a rebuilt or new carb for this tractor that is a pure JD spec?

Thanks

That should take a # 34. Where did you get the "off shore" one ? Once you get an original JD on it and it cures it, are they going to take the "fake" one back ?? Wish I had one to send you but everything is sold so far. Do you know of anyone with a "B" that runs right that you could borrow and use for the test to prove ? Any "B" will work. 10 / 34 / 67 / 73. I've noticed that some on e-bay will be asking $ 600 for their "new" carb but will deduct $ $ 200- $ 300 if you send your "rebuildable" orig. JD/Schebler carb to them. Good way to get a bunch of originals to build and sell heh ? I believe there are some real original rebuilts on there tho. Make sure they say Schebler and Made in USA in the casting and DLTX 13 or 7 on bottom of bowl. E-mail is open

Got the fake through a JD dealer. They got it from a parts outlet since JD does not make anymore. I know the original is bad and has an internal crack in it. In fact the outer casing has been damaged and was brazed by a previous owner. But this off shore is not working either. We strongly feel at this time it has to be carburetion. The timing was done, new rings, ground the valves. I think I am going to buy one from ebay. We need a DLTX34. I see some rebuilds meet the USA and manufacturer spec.
Thanks for your input.
