6466th compression spec

Was wondering what the compression spec is on a 6466th. It's a 4430 tractor with a combine motor in it. I was hearing a knock at higher rpms, sounds like it was coming from number 1 cylinder. Compression tested and was getting 310-340 psi. Injectors are getting tested tomorrow. Thank you

It could be a piston scoring a bit to give you an upper end knock,,I had a few of them in here lately with that being the reason, they start to scuff the sides a bit and it gives a mild knock..this will not show up on a compression test most of the time..

Ok. I wasn't sure what I was dealing with so I figured I would get it out of the way. I thought I maybe had a cracked piston or something. Using my temp gun the number one cylinder was about 40 to 50 degrees cooler than the others not very accurate but there was a difference. I cracked the number 1 injector line and the engine responded with that.

Another possibility is a loose rod bolt. Neighbor's 4230 did that, quiet below 1500 RPM, progressively louder above that speed. Disconnected the hydraulic pump and fan belt since it sounded like it's at the front end. No change. Dropped the pan, one bolt laying in the pan from the # one rod..
