On my JD 8970 the tach works intermittintly , I changed the engine speed sensor on the flywheel housing but worked a tad better but still only randomly. I also have converted the Cummins 855 to a mechanical injection system and have disconnected the unnecessary wires which two hook also on the flywheel housing. Both tachs do the same so I am frustrated.
