JD Corn Planter

I have a John Deere late 1800's 2-row corn planter. It may be referred to as 'horse drawn?' All of the parts are in tact, although it is rusty. It has been inside a barn extension and out of the weather for decades. Can anyone help me identify it from my photos? Also, does anyone know what it is worth and if anyone would buy it? My name is Bill. I live in Melville, Long Island, New York Thanks

It is likely a 999, which Deere made a gazillion of. They were made very late for horse drawn stuff, I think you could still get them into the 1940s, perhaps even into the 50s.

It also could be a 9 or a 99, but I'm not sure how to tell the difference.

It looks similar to my 999 but without a front view I cannot be sure. The 999 was available as both horse drawn and tractor drawn. Options included row markers and fertilizer distributor.
