See my post yesterday regarding this subject to see my comments, progress, and issues. What I have done after that post.
1. I cannot dig into the tractor now but will after plowing. It's raining here but I have to catch up on other things.
2. I did study the 4250 schematic, the flasher runs all four lights at a nice 50% duty cycle, and bright, as running and warning lights. When using the Right and Left Blinker the same flasher runs two lights at a time, right or left. At least this explains to me how I am getting such different results when running all four or two at a time. I think getting my hands on that connector will make a big difference.
3. I e-mailed tigerlights. The response was:
"We have almost zero problems with these lights and we do have resistance built into this light. We sell these to many wholesale companies and distributors and have very little problems and if we do, 90% of the time it's the flasher. Have you tried changing your flasher?" He went on to say he was very familiar with these JD tractors and they should work fine.
So, I just need to get my act together and get my TLC done on the connector, wiring, and maybe the flasher/turnsignal controller ($61).
More after plowing.
