MoCo main drive belt 945/6 955/6

Has anyone used a set of matching single belts to drive one of these mowers? Mine is needing to be changed and the local dealer doesn't have one in stock. Would like to get something put on it tomorrow, so it can be ready go just as soon as the sky clears. If by chance does anyone happen to know what length belt they used to replace with singles?

Not that it will help you but 2 of the 4 locations of local JD dealership show to have this belt in stock.

I've got one here on the shelf, but SE WI might be a ways from you. The single belts won't last long... those multistrand things can pull a lot more than multiple singles.

My local dealer told me if I had a normal size MoCo that he might have parts for it in stock. I thought a 946 was pretty common these days every where. I grabbed a set of belts today, maybe they will stay together for a while.

I think you need a normal sized dealer!

I think I have one on the shelf, and traded in my 956 this spring. I'd sell that new belt for a $100. email is [email protected]
