4250 LED Warning Lights Update

I got the LED Amber Warning Lights on my 4250 and operating. See my earlier posts. When either just on or ALL flashing they work absolutely great. Flashing is about 50% duty cycle.

When using as a blinker the Right Turn puts the lights in a 10-20% duty cycle, very bright, and the Left Turn side does not work at all. As I have said before, my son tells me the cab connector at the lower right side of the console just in front of the breaks or behind the RH battery is problematic. I see mine is covered in oil. See Picture.

I need to study the schematics too see why when working as four warning lights they work perfectly and why as Right and Left Blinkers I am getting mixed results. I hope that will give me some clues.
Looking at the rear of the tractor the rear flood lights were replaced and some wiring repaired although what I did does not explain whey they are working perfectly now. Again, I suspect that connector.
And of course comments/suggestions are welcome. After plowing I will power wash everything and dig into it.

See Pictures.

Yes, the Right and Left Turn signals were working OK before I put the LED lights in, now they don't. But, the amber lights when either ON or Flashing as a group (all four) worked OK before and work OK now.

The rear top flood lights did not work before I took the green roof off. The VOM readings showed no voltage and the one light that was still up there did not work. After I did some wire insulation repair on the light that was missing and put new lights on both sides and installed the roof, now they work. My point being I suspect that connector for the cab wiring.

I will be studying the schematic. The right side blinked at a 10-20% duty cycle which is OK with me but not having the left side working at all is not OK and certainly not consistent with the right side. The 10-20% duty cycle is likely load related as you say but the operation should be consistent on both sides then. Since these lights are specifically designed for this series of tractors I may end up calling the company but I feel I first have to solve the inconsistencies I am seeing. I need to meet my plowing commitments before I dig into this further.

Thanks Tim S. I always enjoy and appreciate your comments.

From what I have dealt with on them the resistance is not enough to make a blinker work,,I would consider wiring a regular light,,like a small license plate light under the cab top,one on each side,,,paint them black and use that to up the resistance factor,, I bet that will make them work correctly,,just a loose thought...

I am having trouble getting past the point they were designed for this application, therefore should work. I plan to dig into this further first. Thanks again. I will let everyone know what I find.

TimS made the same suggestion to me a while back. I also ordered 4 round LED flashers for my 4320 from TIger Lights. I love the lights, very good quality, but I was having the same trouble getting them to work that you are. They would work a little but very dim and wouldnt flash. I called Tiger Lights technician and got absolutely no help. As TimS suggested, I tried a small bulb in line but it wasnt enough to make them work properly. I wired in one of the old big round flasher lights and that made them work perfectly. I decided to just tuck it in under the dash where it cant be seen. Very happy now with them. Try wiring one of the old lights in and see what happens.

Thanks grey for your comments. I have a plan to follow once I get done plowing. I certainly hope I don't have to start hiding unused bulbs, but who knows. Thanks. Paul
