Update on the 6030

FWIW, The 6030 I posted about a few days ago sold at auction in N.E. MS today for just over $6000 with 10% buyer fee. It ran ok, tranny would
not go in R2, other gears seemed fine, lift worked, PTO lever would not move, sheetmetal rough, seat ROUGH, etc. I thought it went high but
what do I know.

Always good to hear an update. Does seem high for bad metal and needing trans work. Stiff pto lever is likely no big deal. The cable that actuates the pto valve is directly under the left battery and acid usually drips down on the cable and freezes it up. Probably needed an overhaul truth be known. I sold one I had last year with a 619 for 11k. Good metal, no mechanical problems.

My thoughts are don't buy one with problems as it is usually worse than you think.I had a new 6030 and thought I wanted another one that was just advertised but when my friend from that area looked at it He didn't think I would be happy.Nice 6030s with cabs are in the high teens in good shape.Ones with out cabs sell well.Motor and transmission problems are usually $10K plus.I personally only buy nice ones even if they are a little higher.
