Fuel injection pump problems

How do you find top dead center on the compression stroke on a JD 310A. We are installing and rebuilding the fuel injection pump and need to find TDC to re-install.

IF its a Stanadyne/RoosaMaster pump.. All you need to do is find the dot on the drive shaft & match it up w/ the dot inside the pump.. DO NOT turn the engine with the pump off..
Reach inside the pump w/ a screwdriver or wrench & turn it to match the drive shaft..
THEN find TDC on the flywheel & do the final timing..
