The roosa injector pump on my 1972 820 3cyl diesel is leaking fuel at the bottom of the pump, when the tractor is running. I have a attached a
picture with a red arrow pointing to where the leak is. It looks like some sort of cap is missing. A short shaft is showing. The exposed shaft has
a small hole in it and there appears to be threads at the end of the shaft, which were only visible to me, when I looked at the photo on my computer
and zoomed it on that spot.

Can someone help me identify what if anything is missing or what might be causing the fuel leak here. I know this is where the fuel is leaking from.
Thanks in advance.

If the arrow is pointing at the plug under the
pump there should be an oring on it. There is
a screw driver slot that you won't be able to
get to. Try gripping it with vise grips.
There was a post last week about the same thing.
I think his oring was missing.

YUP, just an oring.. the small shaft sticking out is an adjustment screw for the timing advance, don't touch it unless its leaking.. they normally get a "tamper cap" put on them but not always.. don't worry about it.

It is leaking, so are you saying if I replace the oring, the leaking will stop? (sounds silly to ask that, but just want to make sure since you said don't touch it unless it's leaking..which it is)
