4840 injector boots

This weekend I had to replace the fuel return boots on the 4840. No big deal but seems I replace them every year. The 4640 and 8430 have not been changed in years, so why does the 4840 go through so many?

Those plastic tees take a terrible beating from heat, injection/combustion "rattle"/vibration, and fuel pressure pulsations.

I remember updating a couple of 8440's with the same engine to the newer brass tee return line kit, a quick peak and I didn't see it in the 4840 PC, tho.

Might be worth checking into.

Yes the kit Bob is referring to is RE27786 $143 It fits most later 30's,40's 50's and is the best way to go and when you install it go ahead and pull the pressure line for easy access..
