Do a lot of reading but don't post much. Today I have problem with brakes on 4020. They are sticking and I cleaned all linkage and sprayed a little lub on. I think the brake pad itself is sticking the linkage returns when you take foot off pedal, but the brake is still on. If it makes a differents it is a 1965. All help appreciated. Rich

Most likely one of the plungers in the valve is stuck down,,how do the rubber boots look ?..they go bad letting water down into the top of the valve..I will post some pics after bit..

My '71 had the right brake that was slow to release. Seemed like it was sticking a particular spot on the way around. I overhauled the brake valve still didn't solve it. I had to pull the final drive and clean the pistons, new O-rings and because I was there new linings. After that no problem. Try the valve first hopefully it solves it.

rubber boot is good and the plunger is not stuck down. It has in the past but not this time. Plunger up linkage is moving and still right brake is on.????

The valve for that side may be leaking past it's seat,, I have pumped the pedal a few times with the engine off and get them to purge and reseat,,try that if not the valve needs to be rebuilt,,I can walk you through it or if you want to send it to me I can rebuild it and bench test it for you..
