Hi, My warning lights on my 4 post canopy are not working at all. I can't find where the flasher is located. I looked under cowl but couldn't find it. Does anybody know where it is located and if it would cause the warning lights not to work? Thanks

According to parts catalog flasher is close to circuit breaker board. If it's not there I'd suggest to look under dash by steering valve. JD is very proud of the flasher. AR48594 Flasher - LAMP ADD 40.67 USD

As you are, the flasher is a good place to look. If that doesn't work my son tells me there is a connector on my SGC 4250 (I assume like your 30 series) that is behind and above the right battery below the steering cowl. My son says that connector often can be the issue. I realize yours is a 4 post canopy, but I hope this might give you another thing to look for and check. Good Luck.

Oh, and check the grounds. :)

I do assume that your 4230 has a turn signal controller. If it does then the turn signal controller is defective as not only does it operates the turn signal it also operates the flashers as there is an input from the light switch to the controller to energize the 4-way flashers. The controller is located under the turning signal lever. I think the flasher the txjim is speaking about is for the optional rear electrical trailer plug.
JD part number AR64422, item #17 in the picture below.

Keep in mind that you may not have any power going to the turn signal controller or if the input from the light switch is not there then the flashers will not work.

Different tractor, I replaced the flasher twice, replaced the blinker once, come to find out I had shorted a fuse out and all I had to do was replace a small cheap fuse. Of course, now I've go a collection of spare blinkers and flashers and bulbs....

You can chase your tail forever working the bugs out of an electrical system...I just finished an old 4020 Power Shift for the PTO Brake repair,, now to make the lights all work..it could take longer than the double split for the PTO, the wires and lights are a mess, looks like they haven't worked for years...

Thanks for correcting my mistake. I forgot that flasher was incorporated in turn signal controller on SGB tractors. Controller is not too pricey from JD.
