John Deere Planter for M

I am trying to find information on how the chain drive for the planter gets installed. It appears that the chain will catch and drag in
multiple locations. I've yet to find anything in any of the manuals with detail. Any help would be appreciated.

What model planter do you own?
I have a M118A planter which is incorporated onto my M10A cultivator and I do not have any issues with the chain dragging and catching.

Do you have any pictures?

I have two planters, both are mounted on M5 toolbars. One is the MA32 loose ground and the other is the MA35 with middlebreaker. I found a
planter drive assembly (likely eBay) that I assume is the AM 574 T. What I know now is that the sprocket that came with that package is a
P1538-B, as its cast into the sprocket. What I also know is that sprocket isn?t long enough to clear everything on the hitch. As I look at
the operators manual, OM-A13-1247 calls for the sprocket to be a C249-A or C250-A which I?m fortunate to have one of. The next challenge is
that the shaft of the M779T drive of the drive assembly had an OD of 1.185?. The ID of the sprocket I have (C249-A) is 1.350?. I struggle
to believe that the concept was to have that much eccentric, ?? on this sprocket. Anybody have any clue if there was a larger shaft size
that was offered? Maybe a sleeve to make-up the difference?
