size of 810 plow with 4 14 bottoms

wondering if any one can give me physical dimensions of an 810 with 4 14 bottoms? i ended up high bid (with absent bid) on the one i was talking about in my previous post. when i looked at it i didn't really think i would get it so i didn't try to figure out how long or wide it was, i didn't have a tape measure anyway.

i need to know if i can get it on a 5.5' wide by 9' long trailer or if i'm going to have to bring my flat bed that i haul the 720 on. i think i can get it on the smaller trailer even if i have to put a bottom in front of the bed over the tongue and/or let some of it stick out back of trailer a little bit. i measured dads 55 plow with 3 14"s and it was around 10 feet not counting the tongue but have no clue how a trailer plow compares in length to a mounted. it'll never fit in the 8' box of my truck will it?

thanks for any help with this question and for all your help with my previous question

I have both a 3-16 and a 4-14. The 3-16 I have hauled in the back of my full size pick up but not the 4-14. When hauling it I used a trailer that was 12 + 4 dove tail with plenty of room for the plow sitting on the flat part. I am not at home now or I would get some real dimensions. The plow seems very compact to me.

I do not know measurements but I QUESTION IF the small trailer will HAVE ENOUGH WEIGHT CARRY CAPACITY? That plow will be heavier than you think. I hauled a Case 3 bottom drag plow on my small trailer thinking it would be plenty heavy, about mashed my trailer. Is your little trailer rated at 2'000# axle or 3,500# axle? If the lighter axle and take away the weight of the trailer you will be hitting max load with that plow.

the small trailer is made out of an old farm hand feed grinder frame and has no problem hauling our Owatonna 330 skid steer which would be the same thing as a John Deere 70 skid steer I believe.

I bought a JD 810 4-14 plow about 25 years ago and hauled it home on my neighbors skid steer trailer. I don't think you will have any problems hauling it home on a skid loader trail. If I out get out to my hobby farm today, I will try to get you some measurements. Al

Dumb question: the grinder mixerframe trailer has no suspension other than the air in the tires?

correct its not a trailer that spends its life traveling the highway, mostly used on short 5 to 11 mile trips hauling gator or skid loader to the field.

I measured my 810 plow today. It's approximately 60 inches wide but it really is more like 45 inches if you angle it a little in the trailer. The length is approximately 9 feet but again you can easily have a foot or two extend past the trailer in either the front or rear. Hope this helps. Al

That might not work as you have to deal with the truck box sides. I assume your box is only about 48 inches between the fenders so you might not be able to angle it that much. Also you will need a good loader tractor to lift it into the box. One thing you could do is remove the 4th bottom and 4th bottom frame braces. Just a few large bolts to remove it as these plows are easily converted to a 3 bottom. I would still recommend you use a trailer. Al

just an update, i got plow home yesterday, fit perfect on the small trailer with plenty of width to spare. now to just find time and a place to use it
