JD 70 Char-Lynn P/S Pump

Here are a couple photos of the Char-Lynn pump I took off my 70. Don't know what it's worth. Model # is 101 and it has a FoMoCo pump with it. Both are free and don't have any noise when you spin them. I'm going to list this in the classified section.

What you are calling a "pump" is a Char-Lynn Model 101 "torque generator". That might help you search for some values on the 'net.

FWIW, Eaton still makes and sells them, a quick web search turned up a range of prices from $400 to $800 new.

I don't believe the pump is what Char Lynn supplied, (it is different than the units I have) I agree with the new price on the motor.

Thanks Bob for the info. The previous owner thought it all worked, but I'm just taking her word for it. I am thinking $125 for the Torque Generator and Pump as a set. They had the pump where the generator usually goes and the generator mounted on the flywheel side.

That is cheap.you can go 250.
