Injection pump john deere model r

Another really dumb question. When I removed the pumps I merely unbolted, and loosened injector lines and pulled the snap ring between the pumps and the injector control rod to the governor. Unfortunately I paid no attention to the hookup between the pump and the governor.
I suspect that I had dropped something The manual is not clear as to this hookup although I suspect that there must be some type of half sleeve.
Does anyone have a picture or an explanation of this hookup and if they are somewhere down in the engine is it possible to get a replacement
Other than this she is ready to fire

Yes , I saw in the parts manual that there are three. The on that I have is item #40 with sleeve. However I have no ides what it looks like and my next step is to pull the pumps once again to see if they dropped down on initial removal.. Once again any help is appreciated
