Hey guys,
I am looking at buying a canopy for my 4020 and I
have found two companies one being Iron Bull mfg
in Marshall Indiana And the other a fella in
connersville Indiana selling them. Does anyone
have experience with ether of these companies?

Thanks

I saw one of the after market canopies on a tractor and the owner said he got it "out of Indiana". It looked very good and you could not tell it was not original, except that it was clean and shiny.

You are wanting just the top?
You can really get taken on
aftermarket rollgards.

Yes I am only looking for the top. We have the Rops program going on Wisconsin to make it very affordable to buy the rollbar. I am buying a original John Deere rollbar through my dealer. But they are kind of pricey on the top.

We are the same source. I am the latter person but just an independent. Been doing a lot of em lately. I tell you they are so identical to oe that it is remarkable and I have no problems using them for my show tractors.

Also I would not push anything that I wouldn't put on my own tractor and I am very picky in that regard. These are not the typical cheap aftermarket crap; I can attest to that. The metal is thick like it's supposed to be and all the angles and welds are good. Even the bottom brackets are made like original not just a couple flat straps that bend when you bolt them on. I bolted one to a frame for a show and I can do chin-ups on the front edge of that thing all day long. Very sturdy.

One of the reasons I became a dealer was to get better pricing and be able to get them whenever I want. I've got probably 4 or 5 tractors left to do and rops/canopy is my theme for all of them and there's no friken way I am going to crawl back to deere and get abused on another top. Last top I bought cost me nineteen hundred bux+ and it had a bunch of dents in the top. The crate said canada so evendently deere is sourcing them out of the country and the crates have a thousand miles on them before they get here. Being in IN where these are produced is very nice because they don't have very far to go to reach me.

Thanks for the response Newgenjdcollector. I was
leaning your direction but was just looking for a few
guys opinions. I was a little shocked my dealer
quoted me $1300 for a deer top much cheaper than
everyone has been telling me.

I do like the look and have also had several aftermarket ones that are identicle to JD.Surprized the didn't have a patent. They are listed in about every tractor magazine for $1250 complete plus freight. They might save your life if you use your seat belt. but they do add some noise but there are ways to reduce it.I have taken several Stopler cabs apart and they are the same just an extra hole for fan.I have bought whole cabs for $300 as nobody wanted to mess with them.Used roll bars will bring $400/500 and used JD tops if nice about same so easier to buy new one.
