3010 draft control

I was lifting a safe with my 3 point and a boom. It got to bouncing and was hard to get stopped. Now I have some forks on it and it seems to get to bouncing pretty easy..I'm wondering what the best position is to run the draft control? Also is it possible that I damaged something lifting the safe?

Draft control should be placed in "D"(depth) control for everything but plowing IE L & less sensitive L/D for plowing. If draft mechanism is set properly when in "D" operator has full control of 3 pt.

I think that's where it's set. All the way down. It still bounces sometimes. Is there an adjustment? Time to get the manual out.
