JD 4440 1980 Quad Range Hard to Shift

Here's the scoop: Tractor difficult to shift between (synchro?) gears. Physical drag on shift lever. Ranges work fine. Little or
no cuttings in screen filter. No unusual noises or grinding sounds. This tractor may come up for sale as-is and I am curious what
I may be faced with. Thank you in advance for any information.

It appears from reading your other thread that Tim & some other posters answered your question. Good luck with the 4440. I'd suggest as others stated to check cab mounts 1st.
