JD 830 fuel sending unit

What all do you have to take off to change a fuel gauge sending unit on a 830 2 cylinder can it be done with just the hood off ? Thanks for your imput

Yes the hood needs to come off, then you can get the cowl off. Too tight in there to work without removing the cowl.

Thanks for the info I was hoping I didn't have to take cowl off

The pain of removing the cowl, or at least lifting it up at the front end will probably be forgotten when you have completed the job!
