JD b piston

Helped repair a JD b,put in rings,did over head.Put in pistons and rods in
same side they came out of.After we were done we noticed they were in the
wrong holes.Should we change them. Looking for opinions. Thank you. Lloyd
 
I say no, the pistons have worn their own path so to speak . Just remark the rods and don't look back . I have seen this many times over the years . Once they were even upside down . This was an old tractor with the Babbitt rod bearings so it didn't cause a problem .
