Brake problem on a JD-"A" !!!

Ok -I have the brake assembly off the tractor and apart. Now the problem- The brake adjuster is very solidly frozen and does not want to turn at all. I have tried LOTS of liquid wrench, WD-40, Creep Foam, etc -etc till I'm sick of it. I guess I am ready to go all out and take it to my local welding shop and put some very intense heat on it!
After I FINALLY get things loose -is there available replacements for the adjuster and those little slotted shafts that engage the brake shoe????
The left side went just fine and actually worked very well after installation. This is on the right side and I'm starting to get a bit perturbed with it! I do have a replacement and just maybe I need to work on the replacement drum and brake assembly and give up on the one I took out! However -it is froze up as well!
Suggestions??????

Heat is the next step. Might want to go to the hardware store and buy a MAPP gas torch.
Inexpensive, and I've loosened up a lot of stuff with mine.

Been my luck to have more trouble with the slotted pins as you call them. When the pins are stuck in the casting they are like keys in the detent notches of the tapered head of the adjuster. If you have not removed those pins, that adjuster will just grin at you daring you!

Have always had more trouble with those pins than with the adjusters!

I do believe what you say! So -I am doing a work around to put the brake assembly back together -for now! At least I will be able to stop when I hit the brake lever,
SO - When I do figure out how to get those pins out and take on the adjuster bolt - can I get replacement pins?? I'm pretty sure the Deer dealer has the bolts but not so sure about those pesky pins, Any thoughts or suggestions?? If they are out there -where??
