60 vs 620 vs 630?

Why would I want to pay more for a 20 or 30 other than newer?
Not looking for show, would use for like work some might take it to plow days or a tractor drive. What I really care about is live pto and 3 point.

Tanks,
Harold

620/630 is basically the same tractor with the exception of sheet metal and the steering setup.

Difference between the 60 and 620/630 is mainly in the engine, 3 point hitch and hydraulic setup. Both have live hydraulic and pto, but the 620/630 has a real 3 point hitch with depth and draft control as well as outlets that can be used at the same time unlike the 60.

620 and 630 have a real 3 point with draft control , remote hydraulics and PTO are nicer than the 60 . I own a 630 now and have owned a 60 in the past.

In my narrow point of view the positioning of the steering wheel on a 60-620 is positioned better for straight ahead driving, like planting corn, or tractor rides if that's what you plan to do. It seems If I'm at it for 12 hours a day it's more comfortable for the arms driving straight ahead with one hand at 10:30 and the other hand at 1:30 on the vertical steering wheel. However, for a long legged guy like me my legs get in the way of my hands when I'm turning the steering wheel on an A-60-620. The slanted steering wheel on a 630 is away from the legs more but for day after day straight ahead driving, like planting it's slanted position isn't quite as comfortable for the arms for me. With the slanted steering wheel I have more room to wiggle around on the seat to change seating positions after long hours in the saddle. If you plan to use a pull type plow a 60 with power steering will work fine though it doesn't have the power of a 620-630 if that matters.

The 60 has the longer stroke bigger engine at 975 rpm wide open, the last of the slow-talking Johns. 620 & 630 have shorter stroke and rev faster and features mentioned below. For the parade take the 60. To plow, the newer ones.

Yea...a "Little" more HP.....I p;ull an F-145 4x16" Plow at our Farm Days and that is usually Alfalfa and nnalert..always in 2nd gear..yes, it does have added weights...

DO NOT try that with any stock 60.....!!

All that, and with a Smaller Engine..!!!

DO NOT try that with any stock 60.....!!

Those do not come with those features. They were all options so be careful when buying you get what you want. Very rare to find but there are some stripped down 20 and 30 series out there.
